Is rhinoplasty a painful procedure?
Rhinoplasty is performed under general anesthesia, so you won’t feel any pain during the surgery. After the procedure, patients may experience mild discomfort, swelling, or pressure around the nose, but this is typically manageable with prescribed medications and subsides within a few days.
How long does it take to recover from rhinoplasty?
Most patients can return to normal daily activities within 7–10 days. However, swelling—especially on the nasal tip—may take several weeks to fully subside. The final shape of the nose becomes more visible over 6 to 12 months as healing completes.
Will I have visible scars after the surgery?
In closed rhinoplasty, all incisions are made inside the nostrils, leaving no visible scars. In open rhinoplasty, a small incision is made at the base of the nose, which typically heals well and becomes nearly invisible over time.
Can rhinoplasty improve my breathing?
